UNDERFOOT
A Site-Specific Dance Performance in the Ingram Valley of Northumberland
The project name Underfoot was chosen to demonstrate the relationship between the lived experience of the performers and the intangible heritage present at the site. It considers Robert MacFarlane's exploration of ancient landscape and human journeys in The Old Ways to question:
Who has been here before us?
What knowledge is held underneath the ground?
How does the past contribute to the present?
